Acapulco stands like a regal queen on the edge

star-shaped fort houses a museum that brings Acapulco's colorful history of
Indians, pirates and Spanish Viceroys into focus, and traces the city's
important role in Mexico's early trade with the Orient. Acapulco has always been a front-runner. It was the first resort to attract
international visitors to Mexico in a big way. There is more authentic
Mexican flavor here than elsewhere because of the large year-round
population. It is packed with the best that Mexico has to offer glorious
